The Fridays at 4 Society

Membership survey, engagement analysis, and recommendations

What did The Fridays @ 4 Society need?

The Fridays @ 4 Society is a vibrant 100% virtual community that helps association and nonprofit leaders develop meaningful connections and skills for career success. Members come together for peer support, expertise-infused learning, and virtual networking in a welcoming, fun, and supportive environment.

Membership has been offered at no charge since its inception in 2020. After strong initial growth, new member enrollments had slowed. To achieve long-term viability, the organization was interested in developing new offerings of interest to members and prospects.

Why is this project important?

Born during the pandemic, the organization has already evolved over its short life to offer quality, free education and networking opportunities to its members. With member demographics changing and the industry continuing to evolve, the leadership understood the importance of gaining a better understanding of member needs at a critical point in the organization’s history.

What did Eagle Creek Partners provide?

Eagle Creek Partners worked with the volunteer staff of The Fridays @ 4 Society to craft and field a brief but effective member survey. Survey results were combined with data from the organization’s association membership system (AMS) to identify patterns and themes. A final report with recommendations was presented to the board and committee leaders for further consideration and action.

“Eagle Creek Partners was a pleasure to work with on our recent member needs survey. Working with our key stakeholders, Mike designed a survey that gave us much-needed insight into our member's needs. But he didn't stop there. He paired the survey results with both our member data and industry data to give a complete, contextual picture of where we stood and what we might consider. In short, he gave us data and insight!”.

Is your organization struggling with member retention, engagement, and growth?

You can’t expect to attract and retain members without a good understanding of their “why”.  Do they feel connected to the organization, and each other? Are the resources you provide top-of-mind when they are facing day-to-day challenges?  What do you offer that they can’t get anywhere else?

Member needs change over time, and many would say the pace of that change has seen even greater acceleration over the past couple of years.  The good news is you probably already have much of what you need to identify shifts in member needs, but are you putting that data to good use? What’s missing that would really help give you insight into how your organization could anticipate and prepare to help its members address the challenges that lie ahead?

Need help getting started on this journey or any step along the way? We can help – let’s talk!
